Introduction
Dr. Swapna Potdar is a practicing Homeopath in Pune,since 1997. She graduated from the D.S. Homoeopathic Medical College Pune in 1996, and from the ‘School Of Homeopathy’ Devon UK, with an Advanced Diploma in Classical Homeopathy in April 2009. She has done MD in Homeopathy from MUHS in 2011.
She has had excellent academic records, having been conferred the S.G. Palsule scholarship for first rank , during graduation, and her submissions to School of Homeopathy being included in the Student Library displaying exemplary work in UK.
She has been the Sub Editor of ‘The Homoeopathic Clinical Case Recorder’ or ‘H.C.C.R’, a quarterly Homoeopathic Journal for 10 years.
She has worked as a renal care specialist Homeopath with Prana, for 10 years, and Sanjeevan Multispeciality Homeopathy Clinic for 4 years.
She is the first Indian to be part of the Supervisors for Homeopathy Graduates of the School of Homeopathy UK.
Her cases and articles have been regularly published in various Indian, and International journals.
Her scholarly reaserch paper on 'Usefulness of Homoeopathy in Idiopathic Granulomatous Mastitis in Women - A case series' of 11 cases has been published by the IJRH, 'Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy' , the official publication of the Central Council of Homoeopathy India.
Her Research work during COVID on a protocol for treatment and prevention was published in Hpathy and recieved appreciation from fellow Homeopaths and targetted populations.
Hpathy the popular international Journal has conferred the prestigious 'AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN HOMOEOPATHY' on her, in April 2022,
for her achievements and contribution to the Homoeopathic community. She is amongst the 66 Homoeopaths from all over the world selected for this award.
She was honoured to be invited as honourable speaker by DS Homoeopathic medical college, for their many CME programmes, the Pune Homeopathic Academy to speak on Homeopathy in Renal care and Paediatric cases , the Rotary club Pune North, and the IMA GP conference to speak on Homeopathy and Obesity.
Dr. Swapna Potdar is a physician much loved by her patients for her genuine concern, compassion, and accuracy of diagnosis, by her students for her flair for teaching and sharing clinical observations, and her peers for her reasearch based approach.
Her book ‘ Revealing the Secrets of Homeopathic Biochemics’ has been very well reviewed and read the world over, for its modern understanding of Biochemics based on pathophysiology.
She is a much sought after Homeopath for Autism, ADHD, Granulomatous mastitis, Autoimmune conditions, Renal diseases and complex cases, as well as allergies and Hyperactive airway diseases, and also treatment of animals.
She is known for her other non homeopathic talents in poetry, piano and art. She recently received the ‘Emily Dickinson Award’ for her collection of poems called, ‘Whispering Petals’.
Above all, Homeopathy is the mainstay of her life and she regards it as an inevitable source for ‘Healing’ in its true sense.
